I am a postdoctoral neuroscientist investigating the neural underpinnings of visual working memory, perception, learning, and cognitive flexibility. During my PhD in Neuroscience at Indiana University, I concurrently established an applied EEG laboratory for a Department of Defense research facility, bridging theoretical cognitive science with translational applications. Leveraging advanced MEG/EEG methodologies and global brain state analysis, my research explores the interplay of tonic and phasic dynamics and how the brain balances stability with adaptability, with a particular focus on how neural oscillations and memory representations operate across hierarchical cortical structures. Ultimately, my goal is to build a comprehensive framework linking fundamental neural mechanisms to real-world adaptive behavior, such as distinguishing between expert and novice performance, detecting cognitive fatigue, and optimizing learning to accelerate skill acquisition. With extensive expertise in full-pipeline signal processing—using tools like MNE-Python and MATLAB—and a diverse background spanning robotics, custom hardware fabrication/prototyping, and philosophy, I bring a highly pragmatic, end-to-end approach to experimental design, from troubleshooting complex recording setups to extracting actionable insights.
