I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2024 with a B.S. in Neuroscience and Psychology, and a minor in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies. During my undergraduate education, I delved into both neuroscientific and psychological research. I examined rat hippocampal microglial activation and TNF-𝛂 expression in response to stress, as well as studying human memory as it pertains to the forward testing effect in a word-pair learning paradigm. Currently, I am an Associate in Research in Dr. Roberto Cabeza and Dr. Simon Davis’s joint lab at Duke University, examining the effects of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) on memory in adulthood and aging.
